It was beautiful as always Sure, something different from normal times, but the walk through the forest cleared your mind

Ideal for families for a day out. Experience nature and the forest. Great nature trail with a learning effect.

Everything was fine. Nice ambience, nice service and my menu was perfect.

I am always enthusiastic about the successful indoor and outdoor ambience and the very warm atmosphere at all times. :-) The kitchen is really recommended both for lunch in the “Forstkantine” and in the evening in the “Waldrestaurant”. The beer garden invites you to have a cold drink in nature ... with the risk that a beautiful summer evening will never end. ;-) All in all: highly recommended and an asset to the region! Long waiting time, food cold, a dish (for four people) not even served, service unfriendly. Ambience and prices suggest a lot more. Unfortunately not to be recommended.

Starting with the hospitality, where the restaurant should not even get a single point at all, due to insufficient professionalism and the poor handling of customers, which is apparently only useful for increasing profit. I was rarely treated with so little respect by the staff. My rating that I would give would not even have one star left for the extremely bad ambience.

Very attentive and friendly staff. The food was very good, taste, presentation and preparation everything was great! What we didn't like that much is the atmosphere in the forest restaurant. It all seems a little cold and uncomfortable.

We were outside with friends and our kids. Unfortunately a total letdown. Except for one swing, are all playground equipment for payment ?! A 0.1l cappuccino costs 3EUR. A waffle was burnt and the cook didn't want to take it back. I can only say we will not be back.

You can feel the breath of fresh air from the new tenants. The renovation measures were necessary and make the Freischütz look good again! The gastronomic offer has also been significantly improved and expanded. Gladly again!

There you can go for a walk and eat it close to the city and very well. There is also an inviting playground for children. If the construction site across the street is finished soon, it is also suitable for longer walks and a 5 star rating.

Always nice there. I think it's particularly cool that you can bring your own grilled food in the beer garden and get a grill ordered. You don't have to turn it on yourself.

We wanted to try the Bavarian breakfast in the beer garden this morning and sat down nicely. The waitresses who were still stocking passed us several times and greeted us. When these were finished, nothing more happened. After 12 minutes, my wife and I got up and left. From the beer wagon it called after us in the familiar, charming Ruhrpott manner: HEY PEOPLE! HERE IS SELF SERVICE !! (By the way, seems to be the unfriendly lady whom you can read about here often) Maybe it's because I'm not a Bavarian or have never been to a Bavarian beer garden, but it seemed to be clear to the wait staff that self-service is a matter of course in a Bavarian beer garden. A friendly note would have been nice, especially after we had been sitting ALONE in the beer garden for so long and were being watched by the staff. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything about the quality of the food, but I do not carry my money in shops where service is a lower priority.

The food was very tasty. But waiting for it took forever. The staff was friendly, although you rarely saw them.

In the restaurant there is really outstanding food that is looking for its equal in the vicinity! The atmosphere with the view of the beer garden and the woods is also very nice

Nice location with a restaurant and beer garden to sit inside and outside. There are various play equipment and a mini golf course for children. The adjacent forest is ideal for excursions to go for a walk. The beer garden is well attended, especially in the warm months, especially on weekends. There are freshly tapped and small dishes such as pretzels and white sausage. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gastronomy in the building is rather upscale.

Been there for a summer staff party, the service and catering was excellent and very quick. The huge crowd was managed really well by the staff. Unfortunately, the parking situation was a bit tricky, but still got managed well by the security staff

Delicious food here. Friendly and attentive staff. The pricing is appropriate. However, what makes this restaurant especially interesting for families is the directly adjacent "Kinderparadies", where you should check the opening hours if necessary to avoid disappointment
